Are there any legal matters you have to go through to put a celeb’s name in a novel?

I want to write a book and part of it will have a real life celeb in it but there won’t be much detail about him personally. Do I have to go through lawyers and everything for that?

In situations like this you would normally have to ask permissin, especially if you plan to say something horible about the celeb or plan to have the book published,
The best thing to do would be to ask anyway to show curtosy and so that you can’t get into any trouble over it.
If you don’t want to take this root you could always choose a name that sounds a bit like the celeb’s or choose a different name altogther but make it obvious it is that celeb in the way they look and the way they act.
