Sesame Street – Monster in the Mirror (celebrity version)

Posted by admin on May 3rd, 2010 and filed under celebrities | 25 Comments »

This great video and song, sung by Grover, first aired in 1989. Two years later, in 1991, this celebrity version was made. Most scenes with Grover were the same as the original but all the celebrity scenes, which were created with special effects, were edited in between the Grover scenes. The Simpsons appearing at the end was a funny and surprising move. I got to really like this song around 1993 or ‘94 and recorded this sometime in the mid-90’s. A VERY popular song! “Wubba wubba wubba wubba, woo woo woo!” Special thanks to Sesame Street Workshop for allowing me to post this video! Johnny2071 and …
Johnny2071 and Wynaut23: Actually, in comparison to Family Guy, Robot Chicken, and even Futurama, The Simpsons’ earliest episodes were tame. In fact, they were so tame that little kids were getting sucked into Bart-mania early. But those other three shows have a raunchy style that goes beyond Henson humor. Sure, The Muppet Show was enjoyed by both kids and adults & was geared for adults, but it did subtle jokes without resorting to crude insults, violence, or profanity like those other shows.
