do celebs get their little dogs for free because they are advertising the dog?

I know celebs have little dogs because they travel often on the plane and a little dog is better for all the traveling they do.

what are the chances that all they celebs have
maltese
yorkshire terrier
Pomeranian
Chihuahua
Shitzu
Maltipoo

many even have 1 of each of the above? do celebs get their puppies for free?

No they don’t get them for free. And all of the small breeds are purchased in pet shop for outrageous prices.

Paitent – Actually her new idiot BF bought the dog in Japan for her.

I know for a fact that celebrities don’t get their dogs for free.

A few weeks ago, Paris Hilton paid like $10,000 dollars for some mutt. The majority of them have Chihuahuas, and the Designer Breeds (which usually include all of those dogs in your list.)

Celebrities purchase their dogs just like any other person. In fact, most breeders cringe at the public display of their breeds because the more popular a breed, the more abuse it sees at the hands of puppy millers and BYB.

Doubtful & they have shown several in pet shops buying their pups. They would be advertising the breeder not the breed – that does help the breeder . Plenty of celebs do adopt & get shelter mutts of all sizes not lil sissy dogs. I don’t think much of the few celebs that are photographed often with their runts – they are usually doing it just for the publicity.

Um, no, they don’t get them for free. Most *responsible* breeders would think more than twice about selling a celebrity a dog/puppy because of their lifestyle. Plus the fact that the dog is used as a fashion accessory instead of a living creature.

And Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Pomeranian, Chihuahua, and Shih tzus are *not* "designer breeds" (aka mutts) — they are legitimate AKC-recognized breeds.

I doubt it, I think most of these "celebrities" get their dogs as impulse buy fashion statements.
It certianly doesn’t do the breed they get any good, especially when they call them ridiculous things like "teacup", "micro" etc.

Logical people study the breed, make sure the dog is compatible with their life-style, not their current handbag and outfit.
