Just get your Bachelors then get your first job. Most journalists get their good jobs based on experience and NOT on their degree. Then after you've been in the industry for a few years and know better which direction you'd like to go in, that's when you'd go back to college to get your Maters. I work at a local TV news station, and there are lots of journalist majors here working as news reporters or producers - and they almost never deal with celebrity issues (I have no experience on media management - so cannot advise on that). Although news print is becoming extinct in a sense there are still a lot of opportunities out there for a writer without having to schmooze celebs.
