Often your dealer will not stock the make and model you are after but you can get directly through GofG, shipped to your FFL. The pricing is fair (possibly at bit higher vs finding it pre-stocked), shipping is fast, and service is top notch. Their website shows accurate inventory and you have just as much access to it as a private buyer as their dealers do. Moreover all guns bought through GofG carry their own lifetime replacement guarantee (in addition the manufacturer’s). If the gun you want is out of stock, put in an email notification request to be sent to you when it comes in. But be ready to pounce because the popular ones sell out quickly these days. Having used the service several times myself, I’m a fan. My self-defense …
My self-defense instructor (whom I trust with these things) definitely sees tazers as a viable option. He showed that (at least the civilian version) drops dramatically in intensity after 5 seconds. That was demonstrated with sound, you could hear the difference in the static.
Tazer says that you should put the tazer on the ground after firing. But after the guy recovers he has a brand new tazer. So we’d not do that. We’d keep it in our hands and sometimes restart it to maintain intensity.
