    Martin Barre’s …
Martin Barre’s contribution to this this band is underrated. This song showcases
his talent, but his guitar solo on auqalung is truly Devine. Bigger than life, and
mabe the best ever performed. I have often wondered where something like that
could originate, but clearly it was moment of time by a musician connected to something larger, if only for that moment in the studio.

This video is more evidence supporting
John Bonham’s claim that Barrimore Barlow was the best Rock Drummer that England ever produced. The guy was simply amazing! I’ve been playing since 1967 and still in awe of what he was doing more than 30 years ago!

I CANNOT get enough of Tull’s UNIQUE mussic and Ian Anderson’s fabulous (and funny) showmanship…not to mention Glascock and Barre. I love musical key transitions in this song!!! (hope I’m expressing thiscorrectly!)

@tsarevna212 to FiatLux in Minstrel the beauty of the song is precisely the transition from folksy, Elizabethan-like lyricism to brilliant chromatic scaling (or achromatic–forgot my music theory. I prefer the videos of them performing Live as I get to watch the thumping of the Bassist and the riffs of lead guitarist.. and back again to slow lyricism. I am addicted (havae I said it enough?)
