What to wear to an art gallery located in a very expensive, upscale mall?

I’m just a poor art student who is interested in going to this show at an art gallery. But this art gallery is in the middle of this super duper upscale mall and I have no idea what I should wear to go to this thing. Any suggestions? I’m a 22 year old female by the way.

I don’t know what you have in your closet or if you are planning on buying something. But I would just say to wear black. Black is always chic and would work for this event.

Khaki pants (Skirt) and a white dress shirt for girls. A pair of light colored slip on shoes or heals if the pants are long enough. Don’t over do the accessories. Less-is-more. Rich girls are taught that their beauty is in their looks, not in what they wear. Keep it simple.

Just wear something simple and classy, it doesn’t have to be expensive or flashy. You could wear a nice blouse with a black blazer over it, pared up with a black pencil skirt or dress pants, and some nice heels. Or a simple but classy black dress with a nice cardigan over top. Basically keep your look simple yet sophisticated, black always looks good when you’re going to an upscale art show. Also of course you can dress up the outfit with some jewelry, just don’t go overboard with it. You can easily put together a nice classy outfit even if you don’t have much money to work with. Good luck and have fun!

I’m the same age as you and an artist too. These are the kinds of things I wear and see many others wearing at art galleries.
