Would an art gallery assist a starving artist in the shipping cost of his works?

I’m definitely a ’starving artist’ and I cannot afford to ship my artworks from my country to this certain art gallery abroad. My money was just enough for the 10 paintings I have just finished. I’m shy to inquire about this on the gallery. Please, help me. Thanks in advance.

There’s only one way to find out. Write them a letter and inquire "Can your gallery assist with the cost of shipping my work to your gallery?" They’ll either say yes, or no. Some might help (if you’ve been invited to show) and some may not.

I am in the US, but here, many doctors, lawyers, and business men are patrons of the arts…If they had a viewing of your works, and thought they were significant or salable, they may be willing to help you…
