How to act around a celeb in person?

Posted by admin on September 12th, 2011 and filed under celeb | 11 Comments »

K so i’m going to a hotel in Las Vegas for a b-day party,i will be hangin out near a celeb(Corey Feldman)half the night,also if i take a pic of him to sign do u think he will?thanks!

Be yourself. That’s the only way to act anywhere, really IMO. I’m sure if you take a photo that he would sign it (tho it has become popular for some "celebs" to ask a fee for signing–I myself would not pay someone for their sig, they should be flattered that I admire them enuff to ask, after all, fans are what pays their bills) I’m bettin’ you could get a couple of pix if ya take your camera, most of these guys will take some time for a pic of ya together, providing they aren’t on some tight time schedule, & I’ve had some even stop & give me a minute or 2 even when they were due at a different area for a performance.
Myself, if he refused an autograph, I’d be telling him "Excuse me, I suddenly remembered I need to go home & stomp & smash my copy of ‘Stand By Me’! ;p

Why does windows photo gallery keep changing the colour of every picture i save?

Posted by admin on September 9th, 2011 and filed under photo gallery | 2 Comments »

when i save a picture from images on google and then look at it after its been downloaded and saved, windows photo gallery turns the colour really weird, like blueish and tinted and much darker. This has only happened since i installed a new printer. I used to be able to save and download a picture from google images and get the normal one there..What happened and how do i fix it?

thanks

Look at the presets on your photo gallery and see if there is some automatic processing going on when you open and then "save" your retouched images.

Does this happen on the Monitor or when you print the images.

If your printed images look differently from your monitor it usually means one of two things

* Your monitor is NOT calibrated and profiled or your printer is not profiled correctly or maybe both.

Here is how you calibrate your monitor and printer to match each other

How can I save an enlarged picture in Windows Live Photo Gallery?

Posted by admin on September 6th, 2011 and filed under photo gallery | 1 Comment »

I have Windows Vista & I’m trying to save a picture that I have enlarged in photo gallery. It’s an old school pic so it’s small & I don’t have the original to rescan it, I’ve borrowed it from my mate’s Facebook. Is there a way to save the bigger image, regardless of quality? Any help appreciated in advance!

This is a bad method but it does work if you do it right.
Have the enlarged image on the screen
Then press the "print screen" button
Then open up paint and paste it their
Then drag the image to the top left corner until everything around the photo disappears.
Then click outside the picture to deselect.
Then at the bottom right corner where the white goes to grey, drag the corner until it touches the edge of the picture.

If you still don’t know what to do, then don’t hesitate to send me an email and ask :)

What celebrities/subjects would you buy pop art prints of?

Posted by admin on September 2nd, 2011 and filed under celebrities | 1 Comment »

I’m a college student majoring in Art, and to make some extra money while I’m at school I like to make pop art posters of celebrities. I’m just curious what celebrities (athletes, musicians, actors, reality stars, tv characters, etc) people would be most likely to buy posters of.

Also, I’m interested in what other subjects people would be buy art prints of?

I’ve have few prints from Glee and The Office, i’m not really sure what would be popular to sell on my store, if i could get some suggestions. Thanks so much!

Great!
Try:

* Harry Potter related (perhaps Rupert Grint – Ron, Tom Felton – Draco, Emma Watson – Hermione, or Daniel Radcliffe – Harry Potter).
* Doctor Who / David tennant or Matt Smith — freaking legends!!
* Katy Perry (GREAT songs!)
* Lady Gaga (the style!)
* Taylor Lautner, he’s kinda cool
* Obama/ other political leaders
* Mr Bean!!

And yeah, that’s probably it :)
Unless ya count Nyan Cat, lol!

Best of luck, hope it works out!

What funny things can happen while cooking?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2011 and filed under funny | 2 Comments »

I’m planning on filming a funny video for youtube and i need ideas. What kind of funny things could happen while i’m cooking and what could i cook? I thought of the obvious ones like start a fire but thats to simple and my dad wont let me do it :D any ideas?

I had some cold hard boiled eggs that were in the fridge. I decided to warm them up a bit by placing them in the microwave for a few seconds. It turned out to be a few seconds too many and they exploded with enough force to blow open the door. I had bits of egg in every corner of the microwave, as well as on the floor and on me. Who knew a little egg could generate so much force?!! At least I peeled the egg first; otherwise, it might have been dangerous as well.

Copyright question about images, screenshots, and covers from video game for my website?

Posted by admin on August 22nd, 2011 and filed under images | 2 Comments »

Hello. I am planning on making a video game review website. Obviously these images are copyrighted to the companies involved. How would I go about crediting or using these images on the website with no legal issues? Thanks!

As long as the images, screenshots, etc., are used sparingly and directly in connection with product reviews, their use will typically fall under the fair-use provisions of U.S. copyright law, meaning that you don’t need permission to use them. The content of your site must be essentially created by you, with the images used only for the essential needs of illustration of your reviews. You must not include anything that would allow a visitor to obtain some part of the game that he’d normally have to pay for, and your own content must greatly overwhelm the borrowed images.

For information on various types of fair use and how they work, see this page:

http://www.centerforsocialmedia.org/fair-use/related-materials/codes/code-best-practices-fair-use-online-video

You also have the option of simply asking the copyright holders (the game producers) for permission, but if your use qualifies as fair use, you don’t need permission. The only problem is that fair use is only decided for sure if you go to court, so unless and until you get sued, you can never be absolutely certain that your use qualifies as fair use. If it’s a legitimate review site, the risk is probably low, but it’s up to you. You can consult a lawyer for an opinion, if you wish, although that’s still just an opinion, and you’ll never know for certain unless you are unfortunate enough to be sued.

Most legitimate review sites have no problems, though.

Can you mention celeb & film names if doing a parody sketch on YouTube or does this breach some copyrights?

Posted by admin on August 20th, 2011 and filed under celeb | 2 Comments »

I want to produce a series of sketches that parody the world of celebrity. I need to know if I will breaching some form of copyright if I mention names and tv shows/ films/ bands they feature in. I’m not going to be using any clips of films, music etc, nor showing images of the celeb – just naming names of people and bands/films etc… Is this OK????

It is not breach of copyright to refer to something or someone.

It would only be breach of copyright if you copied the original or if you created a ‘derivative work’ – basically relying on the form or content of the original so much that it amounts to copying.

Which celeb have you met that was a genuine jerk in person?

Posted by admin on August 17th, 2011 and filed under celeb | 6 Comments »

Or is there a celeb you met that you thought would be a bizotch/douchebag but turned out to be nice? Just wondering. Hoping for some shocking results! :)
My dad met Tom Hanks…total letdown. He said he had an undeserved superiority complex and a big head. In other words, he was a conceited a$$hole in person.

Miley Cyrus; don’t like her, but met her. Thought she was nice. Nope. Totally fake, into herself. Go figure.
