I want to transfer my photos from an old laptop running XP to a new computer running Vista. I want to keep the date and time photos were taken for sorting purposes. Can you help?
If you just copy over the files they should retain the datestamp.
You can copy the files to a CD and put them on the new Vista machine. There are several dates that you can sort data by, these include the "created", "modified", etc. Just sort by the "created" date and you’ll be OK. References :
dont know about the date and time, but should be able to do with a cross over cable, looks like the cable that gos into your pc from modem. then use network wizard, sometime slow to see the other one. References :
