Photos of events, photos of many different places and things I have been to.
My understanding of getting photo’s publish is mostly freelance, send them into photography magazines.
And to become a Photographer, your gonna need schooling, and afterwards try to find work in a magazine or newspaper. The other option is a wedding photographer or family portraits

There are a few ways that you can sell prints of photos you have already taken. You could set up a show with a gallery or coffee shop, you can make an ODP (on-demand printing) book and sell it over the internet, you could sell your prints at state fairs and farmers markets, or you could submit your photos to a stock agency.
As far as becoming a photographer, start volunteering to shoot for local charity organizations, and free publications, then see if you can get work through local companies, small newspapers, and shoot a few weddings. Keep slowly moving up, attracting bigger clients and employers, and eventually you might be able to earn a livable wage with your photography (might is a pretty key word there).
A word of warning:
Trying to go pro with photography can be a particularly soul crushing experience for some. If you have a good day job, consider doing a few shows and gigs here and there, and shoot for your own enjoyment as often as possible.
